Skull Race - Obstacle race in Torremolinos
Last weekend, I took part in the Skull Race in Torremolinos. The previous edition I attended was in MiniHollywood, Almería—a day I’ll never forget. It rained so heavily and was unexpectedly cold that I ended up with hypothermia and couldn’t complete all the obstacles. I just focused on reaching the finish line, skipping most of the obstacles. This time, I returned determined to fully enjoy the experience—and I did! The race involves a fair amount of running, with most obstacles concentrated toward the end. There is a trampoline jump into a pool, followed by four or five more technical obstacles (check out the Brave Bulls video below for a glimpse).
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the delay in sorting out the classifications. The process was quite manual, and by the time the prize ceremony took place, most participants—including me—had already left. I ended 2nd in Starter Category. 🥈
The event is well-organized and easy to access, whether by car or public transport. You can take a train to Málaga, then a Cercanías to Torremolinos, followed by a 20-minute walk to the venue.
